About

IMG_3008 FinalThe story* goes that in 1891 the gentleman and Penny Farthing enthusiast, Hubert Foggart attempted to set a new world record for achieving the highest top speed at the time on a Penny Farthing. While it is widely agreed that Foggart did in fact achieve speed never previously experienced on a Penny Farthing, it was never officially recognised as he only made one pass. The name of this cafe is in homage to the great Hubert Foggart and his Penny Farthing.
