Penny Farthing Espresso & Industry Beans

So, Movember is over for another year.  We managed to raise over $700 in the shop and think that’s fantastic!  Thank you kindly to all those who donated to the cause.  Now….what to do with those left over moustaches….?

We’re very happy to announce that High street is re-open after 8 days of destruction and construction.  Trams are on again, cars are wizzing by, and we can cross the road without having to walk for half an hour!  Exciting times.  There is still a lot to be done before the streetscape will be finished, but the worst is over.

Thanks to everyone who triumphed against adversity last week and made it into Penny Farthing.  We appreciate your efforts!

From this Sunday October 2 to Monday October 10 High Street will be undergoing extensive tram works.  High Street will be closed to vehicles from Clarke to Separation streets during this time, however pedestrian access will remain open.

While we were tempted to close up and take a holiday (!) , we have decided to stay open right through, trading as usual.  It might be chaos on the street, but inside Penny Farthing Espresso it will be a coffee, food, wine & beer sanctuary (especially in the courtyard!).

We’ll have more updates throughout the project to keep you all update.

This Sunday, September 18, is High Noon!  The return of a street festival is very exciting indeed.  So exciting that we will be doing four events on the day, officially kicking off from 10:00…..

• PFE Coffee Shoppe: Out the front of the cafe will be the usual suspects behind the coffee machine serving up our very own Industry Beans coffee for you to sip on whilst wandering the festival.
• PFE Food Shoppe:  over the road at the end of Westbourne street, this little outpost will be offering some of the best items from our menu.
• Penny Farthing Espresso Bar – The front room of Penny Farthing Espresso will be transformed into an espresso only sanctuary.  With a range of single origin coffees, beans to take home & a plethora of information, this will be a heart thumping coffee experience.
• Penny Farthing Courtyard Party – Offering beer, cider, food & good times, the Penny Farthing Courtyard will be open for the good folk of Northcote and beyond to come and enjoy the goods and service Penny Farthing has to offer.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic day and hope to see plenty of people there!
